3M? Polyethylene Tape 483 has a polyethylene backing with a rubber adhesive for
many general purpose applications including sealing, color coding, protecting,
moisture proofing. Black tape has excellent U.V. resistance and can be used
outdoors for up to 12 months.

Features
? Tape stretches easily and is highly conformable for a tight seal around irregular
surfaces.
? Polyethylene backing provides good solvent and alkali resistance properties.
? Remains flexible to -20°F (-29°C).
Note: Should not be exposed to temperatures which exceed 170° to 200°F (77° to
93°C). Exposure to such temperatures may result in softening of backing.
? Vivid colors and smooth backing provide excellent glossy appearance.
? Low sulfur and halogen content.
? Low water vapor transmission rate.
? Best results are attained when applied to a clean, dry surface at temperatures
between 60° to 80°F (16° to 27°C).
